Drywall and Framing Services We Provide
A good drywall job starts with good framing. Walls that are straight, plumb, and properly spaced make the finished surface smoother and easier to paint. We handle both, so the work stays coordinated from the first stud to the final sanding.
- New drywall installation: hanging, taping, and finishing for remodels, additions, and finished basements. See our drywall installation guide.
- Drywall repair: patching holes, cracks, and damaged sections, including repairs after leaks. Read drywall repair after water damage.
- Framing: new interior walls, openings, and layout changes. See drywall installation and framing done right.
- Wall removal and openings: opening up a floor plan takes planning for structure and utilities. Learn more in open concept wall removal and framing.
- Finishing: smooth surfaces ready for paint, from standard finishes to higher levels. See what a Level 5 drywall finish is.
Why the Finish Level Matters
Drywall finishes come in different levels, and the right one depends on the room, the lighting, and the paint or wall treatment going on top. Walls with strong side lighting or glossy paint show imperfections more, and a higher finish level can make a visible difference. Premium wall finishes such as Venetian plaster also call for exceptionally smooth, well-prepared surfaces. For comparison, see drywall vs. plaster walls.
Remodeling, Basements, and Water Damage
Drywall and framing are part of nearly every remodel. In finished basements, they turn bare concrete and studs into usable rooms; see how to finish basement walls. After a leak or water intrusion, damaged drywall often has to be cut out and replaced once the source is fixed and the area is dry. If a wall removal or new opening is part of your plan, structural questions come first, and we walk through them with you before any work begins.
What Our Drywall and Framing Process Looks Like
- Walkthrough and measurements. We review the space, the framing, and what needs to be done.
- Framing and rough-in. New walls are framed square and aligned, with coordination for electrical and plumbing by licensed trades where needed.
- Hanging. Drywall is cut and fastened with attention to joints and corners.
- Taping and finishing. Joints are taped, coated, and sanded in stages for a smooth surface.
- Cleanup and handoff. We clean the work area and walk through the result with you.

Drywall and Framing Questions
Can you repair a small patch without redoing the whole wall? Often yes. Small holes and cracks can be patched, textured, and painted so the repair blends in. Larger or water-damaged areas may need a section replaced.
Do you handle permits? Framing changes, wall removals, and work involving plumbing or electrical can require permits depending on the project and municipality. We will talk through what applies to your job.
How long does drywall work take? It depends on the size of the project and drying time between coats. We will give you a realistic schedule after seeing the space.
